DR Congo is an untapped market with great potential for mobile telephony; Internet services providers, and other Internet Communication Technology (ICT) firms.  Mobile telephony has a 44 percent penetration rate; Internet penetration is approximately 4 percent (4%) of the total population.

DR Congo has an estimated population of more than 86 million inhabitants which constitutes an important potential market for consumption. DR Congo presents opportunities for many ICT firms, and particularly internet service providers. Another opportunity is to develop and market applications for mobile telephone users, cloud technology, cybersecurity as well as technical services to businesses.
